Leadership

Student Leadership

Auburn Girls High School is a centre of excellence in girls’ education. We are committed to empowering our young women to achieve their personal best and be the best version of themselves. Our motto is “Learn Lead Succeed”.

As a school leader, students serve as ambassadors representing the School at school and community events. Leadership is about a passion to represent and serve others and ensure their voices are heard. Student Leaders participate in decision-making and understand their rights and responsibilities as active citizens. Students in leadership positions can have a real impact on their learning and school environment and leadership roles prepare students to participate meaningfully in their community.

Leadership roles develop students’ ability to communicate clearly, cultivate their resilience, forming compassion and empathy for others and working with others as a cohesive team with integrity and diligence.

There are many formal and informal leadership opportunities available and girls are encouraged to apply.

Formal Leadership opportunities include:

·       Student Representative Council Years 7-12

·       Year 11 Junior Prefects

·       Year 12 Student Leadership Team

Informal Leadership opportunities include:

·       involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or local community events or projects

Auburn Girls High School develops strong and courageous young women as school leaders with the skills and confidence to take their place as the leaders of tomorrow in society.

Each new Student Leadership Team is elected and inducted in Term 3 to commence their representative roles until Term 3 the following year.
