Wellbeing

At Auburn Girls High School, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where students feel supported and are able to thrive at school and in daily life.

Wellbeing and support staff

Student wellbeing at Auburn Girls High School is supported by a dedicated and experienced team who work together to ensure students feel safe, connected and ready to learn. Our Head Teacher Wellbeing and Head Teacher Positive Education lead a whole school approach informed by the PERMAH Framework, focusing on character strengths, resilience and healthy relationships.

Our school's Year Advisers provide day-to-day support for each year group, ensuring students are known individually and can access guidance throughout their schooling. This support is strengthened by the School Counsellor, School Support Officer (SSO) and the WHiM Nurse, who work with families and staff to respond to students' academic, social and emotional needs.

The purpose of our school's extensive support network and programs, is to support our students to develop the skills and confidence they need to engage positively in their learning and participate fully in school life.
